Hello Laurie and Renee,

If this is of any help, when I wrote to JCO about adapting her short story on screen, she wrote me back--not an assistant. I received a fax in less than a month's time. She watched my previous films too.

She does have an agent, however, who takes care of the many talks she is asked to give, and business matters. I think she actually does most of her work, including replying to correspondence. SHe's truly unbelievable!
