Re: JCO: Joyce Carol Oates at Chicago Humanities Festival

Hi Eric,

It was wonderful to share the experience with my daughter. Ms. Oates was
quite comfortable with Julia Keller, who wisely let JCO do most of the
talking. Afterall, we were there to here about her! In Ms. Oates initial
remarks she noted the large crowd and how overwhelmed she felt to
realize there were so many readers. She was quite modest, but clearly
understood how admired she is by the people in crowd.
