RE: JCO: Raymond J. Smith

This is sad news indeed.  Last night after reading your message it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I feel a loss for all readers of the Ontario Review, all readers of Joyce Carol Oates who know how supportive her husband has been through out her career,  but mostly for Ms Oates who has lost her life mate.  I can only imagine how deeply she must be grieving right now.
